Secured and Intelligent Massive Machine-to-Machine Communications for 6G.
SCION is a multi-partner Doctoral Network project within the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, bringing together academic and industrial expertise to develop secure, intelligent and highly connected machine-to-machine communications for future 6G networks.
Intelligent communications for future connected systems.
Future 6G networks will connect increasingly large numbers of machines, devices and intelligent systems. SCION investigates advanced communication, artificial intelligence and digital twin technologies to support secure, efficient and intelligent machine-to-machine connectivity.
Secure massive connectivity
Develop communication technologies that enable secure, reliable and scalable machine-to-machine connectivity within future 6G environments.
AI-enabled communications
Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning to support intelligent network management, optimisation and increasingly autonomous communication systems.
Digital twin technologies
Develop and investigate digital representations of connected physical systems for monitoring, modelling, analysis and intelligent decision support.
Industrial applications
Explore how intelligent connectivity, digital twins and advanced AI can support next-generation industrial automation, monitoring and inspection.
AI-enabled digital twins for industrial automation.
IRIS Automation contributes industrial expertise to SCION through the development of a digital twin for industrial automation and inspection using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence algorithms. The work connects physical industrial processes with intelligent digital representations to support monitoring, analysis and data-driven decision-making.
Artificial intelligence
State-of-the-art AI algorithms for industrial monitoring, analysis and intelligent automation.
Digital twin
Digital representation of industrial processes and assets for intelligent monitoring and operational insight.
Industrial inspection
Intelligent inspection capabilities supporting industrial automation and quality assurance applications.
Data-driven automation
Transforming industrial data into actionable information for monitoring, analysis and decision support.
